BUD ADAMS

Web Design, Social Media Marketing, Video Production, Film Making, SEO, SEM, Podcasting, Printing, POP Display Creative Director & Motion Picture Producer

Often jokingly referred to as “the man” or “a gentleman and a scholar“, Bud Adams may not be the owner of the Tennessee Titans, but a mere mortal who has been in the multimedia game since before the dawn of the real internet (that’s 1996, kids).Prior to obtaining his degree in film from California State University Fullertonin Orange County, California, Bud began as an artist – with pencil and chalk being his favorite mediums. Paired with a passion for architecture, he started the journey toward a degree in architectural engineering and drafting. But movies called to him. And, he responded by turning his attention to film & television.

Before officially making the switch, Bud also took a run as talent – starting in radio at the KSAC community station, then as a sports announcer for the Mount San Antonio College women’s softball team. Further, he appeared in productions of The Music Man (Mr. Dunlop), Cabaret (Ernst Ludwig), Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Issachar) and Jesus Christ Superstar (Peter). He claims a desire to return to the stage, but with the insanity of business… only time will tell.

Once finishing his degree, Bud dove in as a producer – producing several small independent films and student projects. This taste of producing whet his appetite for something bigger and he forged ahead by returning to Pittsburgh, a budding film community, to start building an empire of film studios.

In 2001, Bud launched his first business, Sonic Pictures – an independent film company, modestly run out of his living space. Building relationships with comedians, local businesses and other filmmakers, Sonic’s presence grew. Starting with “Recollection Rag“, written/directed by local playwright Ernest McCarthy, he went on to associate producing in post with JP Nickel and his production, “Why We Had to Kill Karen“, and Mark Rapp’s “Biophage” (now available on Netflix), where he added editor to his impressive growing resume, Sonic had become more than just a production house. It became a vital resource for local producers to network with one another, explore extensive casting databases, edit projects and more. Due to its place in the Pittsburgh film community, Sonic’s projects were wide-ranging and uniquely different. Some of its other productions include Rue Snider’s “Cake?” and “The Call“, Matt Wohlfarth’s “Pop-up Comedy” and Bud’s own reality TV series, “What’s Your Talent?“.

In 2003, Sonic grew beyond its shell and needed to find a space of its own, thus the expansion and creation of Mogul Mind Studios – originally in Glassport, PA. Also, several other companies were born, S.net, The Film Mafia and an acquisition of the Pittsburgh franchise of Hotcards.com. All located in the Mon Valley in an aged industrial complex… but not without style.

In 2005, Mogul Mind was sold to one of Bud’s remaining business partners in order for Bud to leave the “studio” life and return to Los Angeles, now a much more seasoned film vet. (Since then, Mogul Mind Studios has expanded to infinity and then collapsed like a dying star in space.) This move opened the doors to many new and exciting opportunities for Bud – from casting to more short film production and expanded work with various comedians and celebrities. Bud’s involvement in both “Lavinia’s Heist“, “Crazy Girls” and “America the Punchline” earned him 2 more IMDB credits and even more experience on sets of varying sizes.

After the writer’s strike hit Hollywood like a plague, Bud returned to Pittsburgh to work with PD Creative Media, producing thousands of local cable spots… including ones for Centimark, Equitable Resources, IUOE Local 66, UPMC, Pipers Pub, Carson City Saloon, Shults Ford, Climatech, Hamster Direct, Advacare, Improv Comedy Club, Highfield Imaging and many more.

Bud’s business acumen and unique ability to have his finger on the pulse of technological expansion AIM Pittsburghled to the creation of his current company – AIM Pittsburgh (formerly Adams Innovative). Understanding the trend of businesses toward multimedia campaigns, AIM is much more of a comprehensive multimedia corporation. From building websites to producing commercials to creating and implementing social media campaigns, AIM Pittsburgh (www.aimpgh.com) can provide all-inclusive services for its clients. AIM’s ever-expanding list of clients includes Premier Innovations Group, Clique Vodka, Faded Industry, DME Plus, HSE Salon, Spartan Pharmacy, Pittsburgh Protection, Comedian Lynne Koplitz, Mary Tobin Presents, Three Rivers Wealth Management and more.

From the film industry to small business, Bud’s knowledge of marketing and multimedia has allowed for his involvement in many projects all across the US. He’s often the “go to guy” and is often referred to as “my guy” – the guy that can do anything and can figure it all out. Hit him up, he could solve your current problem or get what you’ve been looking for the whole time.
